Parking Tickets
Parking tickets written under City Ordinance may be paid by mail with a check or money order made payable to “The City of Oberlin”. Parking tickets may also be paid in person at the Police Station, 85 South Main Street (State Route 58) by cash, check, or money order; we are unable to accept payment for parking tickets by credit or debit cards at this time.
Traffic tickets for moving and non-moving offenses are accepted at the Oberlin Municipal Court during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) Monday through Friday. After regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and weekends or holidays, traffic tickets may be paid at the Police Station. Payments for Oberlin Municipal Court may be made by cash, money orders or credit cards. Payments can now be made on-line by clicking here. No personal checks are accepted. Persons wishing to pay traffic fines or waivers must provide an original (blue copy) of the ticket at the time of payment. Some traffic offenses are not waiverable. The following is a partial list of violations for which a personal appearance in Court is required:
- Driving Under the Influence
- Reckless Operation
- Driving under Suspension
- Drag Racing
- Passing a Stopped School Bus (with lights flashing)
- Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Operate a Vehicle
