Traffic Tickets
Traffic tickets for both moving and non-moving offenses can be paid at the Oberlin Municipal Court during regular business hours, which are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, outside of these regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, you may make payments for traffic tickets at the police station.
Payments for fines and penalties at the Oberlin Municipal Court can be made using cash, money orders, or credit cards. Additionally, there is now an option to make payments online. Please note that personal checks are not accepted.
When making payments for traffic fines or waivers, it’s essential to provide the original (blue copy) of the ticket at the time of payment. It’s important to note that certain traffic offenses cannot be waived, and a personal appearance in Court is required for these violations. This includes offenses such as:
- Driving Under the Influence
- Reckless Operation
- Driving under Suspension
- Drag Racing
- Passing a Stopped School Bus (with lights flashing)
- Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Operate a Vehicle
We appreciate your compliance and timely resolution of traffic matters.
